XR31233

±36V Fault Tolerant, Single 3.3V CAN Bus Transceiver with Loopback Mode

Description

The XR31233 is a controller area network (CAN) transceiver that conforms to the ISO 11898 standard. It provides transmit and receive signaling rates up to 1Mbps between a differential CAN bus and a CAN controller.

This device is designed with cross-wire protection, overvoltage protection up to ±36V, loss of ground protection, thermal shutdown protection and common-mode transient protection of ±100V making it ideal for harsh environments used in industrial, automotive, transportation and building automation applications.

The low power consumption of the 3.3V supply makes the XR31233 CAN transceiver desirable and fully interoperable with 5V supplied transceivers on the same bus. It also offers high speed and slope control modes of operation.
